John Geweke is the Harlan McGregor Chair in Economic
Theory at the University of Iowa, where he is also Professor of Economics
and Professor of Statistics. Previous academic positions include the
William R. Kenan Professor of Economics and Professor of Statistics
and Decision Sciences Duke University, and professorships at the University
of Minnesota and the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Geweke is a fellow
of the Econometric Society and the American Statistical Association,
and he has been designated a National Lifetime Associate of the National
Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Geweke has a large number of publications in the fields of economics, econometrics,
and statistics. In addition, he currently serves as co-editor of the Journal
of Econometrics and is past editor of the Journal of Applied Econometrics and
the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics.
In addition to academics, Dr. Geweke has extensive experience as an economic
consultant and expert economic witness in for public agencies and private clients,
including In Re: International Vitamins Cartel. |
